Raj Lall
In my native country of India, I earned a B.S. in Microbiology and M.S. in Developmental Biology. While serving as an assistant professor in the Department of Botany at M.S. University in Baroda, Gujarat, India, I completed research in identifying, analyzing and extracting natural ingredients from plants and plant tissue cultures that provide natural health and medicinal properties. I continued my education and research in the United States at the University of Minnesota, earning a M.S. in Pharmacognosy and researching enzymes in relation to cancer cells through animal cell cultures. My thesis was completed on probiotics and I began working in the human probiotic industry – an area of expertise I would later call on in building RDL.
My wife and I have a strong commitment to the Menomonie, Wis community. We support future scientists and business leaders through a foundation, which funds the Raj and Swati Lall Microbiology Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
